You'll work closely with our CEO Dave (who’s going to be very involved), plus our Head of Marketing Jess, Head of Community Matt, as well as Anna (sponsors), and Allison (events).
Here’s the type of stuff you’ll get to run (or help run):
• Newsletter(s) – we’ve got one now, we want more
• Podcast(s) – we’ve got one now, we want more of those too
• YouTube – Dave says he’s finally ready to take it seriously
• Webinars – we get ~1,500 people registered for each one
• Lead magnets, articles, reports, and resources for advertisers
• Organic social – both the Exit Five brand and helping us build personal brands too
This is the kind of role where:

Job Summary
Exit Five is a leading brand in the professional development space for marketers. Thousands of marketers from around the world use Exit Five to help grow their skills in marketing and build a network of peers. We run an online community and do in-person events; but a large part of our business is about creating content that grows awareness of Exit Five and helps marketers get smarter for free. This is what we call the “media” side of our business, and this includes things like our podcast, webinars, YouTube channels, newsletter, LinkedIn content, and more.
We are looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help us manage and scale these programs. We want your help running them, improving the quality, and helping us scale the reach of our content.
This role is equal parts operator and creator: you’ll manage existing processes and strategies that already work, while also bringing your own ideas to improve how we run content. You’ll play a critical role in making sure Exit Five continues to show up with best-in-class content for our community of B2B marketers.
This role is best for someone who has a passion for content and social media. You can point to examples of who’s doing “good” business content. You have ideas on how we can grow. You’re comfortable getting into the weeds in tools like HubSpot, Zapier, Canva, and ChatGPT. You understand the difference between what content works well on LinkedIn vs. what YouTube wants. You appreciate the craft of content, but you also understand that we need to ship things every week and you can balance speed and quality together.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience. Exit Five also offers a 3% 401(k) match and a stock option equity package.

Referrals: We offer a $5,000 referral bonus if you introduce a candidate we hire. The bonus is paid after the new hire completes three months of employment. The referral is credited to the first person who submits the candidate. Candidates who have already applied or are in our recruiting process are not eligible for referral.
