B2B Content Marketing

I'm hiring a Content Manager at Ideally!

If you consider yourself a storyteller, love turning data into compelling content, and enjoy creating everything from research reports to social posts, I’d love to hear from you.

Ideally is a fast growing startup reinventing the research industry. Our marketing team is on a mission to prove that B2B doesn’t have to be boring, and we’ve doubled in size this year as we continue to grow.

If you’re curious, creative, and love writing, this could be a great fit. The role is hybrid and can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland.

If it sounds like you, or someone you know, send me a DM or apply via the link below.

The research industry is being rebuilt from the ground up and Ideally is building the platform at the centre of it. A $30bn market is shifting away from slow, agency-led research toward always-on software that enables faster, repeatable decisions at a fraction of the cost. AI is accelerating this change, automating workflows that once required specialists and putting powerful insight tools directly into the hands of the people who need them.

Ideally is building the decision engine for modern marketing teams, combining consumer data and AI agents that generate insights and recommend actions within a centralised platform. We're enabling consumer understanding to be used early and often in creative and commercial decisions.

We're one of New Zealand's fastest-growing startups, recently closed a Series A, and are scaling into the US. This is an opportunity to define a category, not just contribute to one.

The opportunity

Love turning research into stories people actually want to read? Excited by creating content that shapes conversations, builds brands and drives commercial impact?

Ideally is looking for a Content Manager to help scale our narrative across APAC and the US. This is a broad, hands-on content role where you'll take original research, uncover compelling insights and turn them into reports, campaigns, social content, PR opportunities and everything in between.

Reporting to our Communications & Content Lead, you'll work at the heart of our marketing team, partnering closely with Research, Design, Product, Growth and Customer teams to bring our stories to life.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating research-led reports, thought leadership and long-form content.
  • Turning data and insights into engaging stories and campaigns.
  • Writing content across LinkedIn, website, email, case studies and social channels.
  • Owning content projects from concept through to launch.
  • Working with our designers to create compelling campaign assets.
  • Supporting PR activity, media opportunities and content distribution.
  • Experimenting with new formats including video and social-first content.
  • Helping evolve how Ideally shows up in market across APAC and the US.

What we're looking for

You might come from content marketing, journalism, communications, editorial or publishing. What's most important is that you're a strong storyteller with excellent writing skills and a genuine curiosity for finding and shaping great stories.

We are looking for someone to help us redefine how insights are shared and take research beyond traditional reports and turn it into engaging content across social, video, thought leadership and emerging storytelling platforms.

About you

  • 5+ years' experience in content, communications, journalism or storytelling.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Experience creating both short- and long-form content.
  • Strong editorial judgement and storytelling instincts.
  • The ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and desire to own outcomes.

Experience with video content, creator programmes, CapCut or social-first content is a bonus but not essential.

Why work at Ideally?

Ideally is a high-performance, high-care environment built for people who want to do the most meaningful work of their career.

We move fast, set a high bar, and expect people to take ownership of outcomes, not just execution. As the company evolves, so will the role. You will be expected to adapt quickly, focus on what matters most, and operate with sound judgement in ambiguous situations.

We offer our people

  • Competitive rewards and upside, including salary and meaningful ESOP.
  • Growth and progression, with stretch opportunities and exposure as we scale.
  • Flexibility and autonomy, with a hybrid model and focus on impact rather than hours.
  • Support that matters, including paid parental leave, fertility support schemes, and wellbeing resources.
  • A fun, social environment, including our annual company-wide offsite ThinkFest.

Perks are table stakes for us. What truly defines Ideally is our high-performance, high-care culture, the calibre of people, the ownership they're given, and the chance to help shape an industry.
