We’re building a new Brand & Creative team at APO Group and I’m looking for a Marketing Content Specialist who thinks strategically, writes uniquely, and has great experience in B2B.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role for someone who knows how to create content that moves people – across social, email, web pages, brochures, and things we haven't imagined yet. You will work closely with me on strategy and copy, and collaborate with designers and a Digital Marketing Manager. We're looking for someone who is no-drama, curious, and happy in a growing team – that means sometimes inventing solutions on the go. You must be comfortable with change :)

This role is remote. SA-based or time-zone aligned.

About the role

We’re building a new Brand & Creative team to grow the APO Group and our clients' brands – and we’re looking for a confident, collaborative Marketing Content Specialist to bring these brands to life.

This is a hands-on writing role with strategic input and close collaboration. You’ll work directly with the Marketing Director to shape and deliver high-impact content across social media, email flows, web pages, brochures and more. We're creating a new content engine that will complement a refreshed brand design, launching soon.

What you’ll do

Support strategies for and write:

  • Social media posts (with LinkedIn and Instagram being your priority channels – organic with boosting strategy)
  • Email marketing
  • Web copy (with a website revamp being a major once-off project)
  • Internal comms
  • Brochures and branded collateral as needed

Support lead generation and commercial goals:

  • Write with clarity and credibility for B2B buyers across sectors
  • Help align messaging with campaign goals, CTAs, and digital flows
  • Collaborate on content sequencing for campaigns (eg. LinkedIn → email → landing page)

Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director:

  • Share and co-create content for marketing
  • Provide drafts, copy iterations, and brainstorm ideas in partnership
  • Grow with the role as our team, tools and projects evolve

Contribute to the brand’s evolution:

  • Protect and elevate our tone of voice across channels
  • Partner with designers to align visuals and messaging
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager, who will support you with scheduling and community engagement on social media, and other social support as required

Who you are

  • A strategic content creator with 3–5+ years of experience in writing, digital, or content marketing roles
  • Outstanding grasp of English (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable writing for both storytelling and conversion
  • Digitally fluent – you understand how content works across channels
  • A natural collaborator with a strong visual eye and structured approach
  • Enjoy monitoring trends in marketing and proactively sharing new ideas
  • Culturally aware and able to write with regional nuance for African markets
  • Experienced using AI to support idea generation and efficiency – not to replace your craft
  • Motivated by working in a small, growing team where your voice matters

What success looks like

  • Content across channels is sharper, smarter, and more brand-aligned
  • APO Group is gaining recognition and qualified leads from our digital presence
  • You’re seen as the go-to for content quality, tone, and delivery
  • You’ve helped lay the foundations of a marketing function we’re proud of
