  • Coordinate with the Editor in dividing writing assignments on other activities and events such as exhibition openings and talks at the Friends spring and fall dinners (generally 600-900 words).
  • Proofread the layout of the Review pages prior to publication, and assist with proofreading the Princeton University Library Chronicle when asked.
  • Photograph events when Library staff photographers are unavailable (no formal photography experience required).
  • Assist in writing captions for photographs and images in the Review.
  • Recommend stories and event coverage, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years of writing and editing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Ability to attend events outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and Google Workspace.

Details: Part-time, one-year contract position (with possibility of renewal), ranging between 20 and 30 hours a week, especially during busy times of the year.
