SALT.agency is looking for a motivated Technical SEO Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll tackle cutting-edge technical SEO projects, work on large-scale site migrations, and contribute to R&D initiatives, helping clients achieve exceptional results.
As a Technical SEO Specialist at SALT.agency, you will be responsible for delivering technical SEO projects to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will tackle complex technical challenges, support SEO campaigns through in-depth auditing, and drive client business performance. In this role, you’ll actively plan, deliver, and delegate technical SEO-related activities while supporting team processes and workflows to maintain a best-in-class service.
What you'll do:
- Directly oversee the success of up to five client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact (Client Delivery Manager) for communications, ensuring timely delivery of Technical SEO projects.
- Be involved in up to seven accounts, contributing technical expertise and supporting team resources effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, addressing crawlability, indexation, rendering issues, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Lead technical SEO projects such as site migrations, international SEO setups, and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure technical recommendations are implemented effectively and align with client objectives.
- Develop and refine SALT templates and frameworks to improve internal workflows and enhance service delivery.
- Support the upskilling of junior team members, refining their technical SEO knowledge and auditing capabilities.

About you:
- A minimum of three years of SEO experience, with a strong emphasis on technical SEO.
- Previous experience of working in an agency is preferred but not required.
- Experienced in using website crawlers as well as manual auditing.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles, including crawlability, indexation, page speed optimisation, and rendering solutions.
- Experience conducting in-depth technical audits, with expertise in using website crawlers and manual auditing techniques.
- Knowledgeable about algorithm updates (e.g., EEAT, Helpful Content, and core updates) and their impact on website performance.
- Confident using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and GA4 for analysis and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Passionate about SEO and committed to staying ahead of industry trends.
