SALT.agency is seeking a motivated and skilled SEO Consultant to join our growing team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage exciting SEO projects across SaaS, eCommerce, travel, and more while expanding your expertise in strategic and technical SEO.
As an SEO Consultant at SALT.agency, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional strategic growth campaigns and technical SEO projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. As a bridge between strategy and technical execution, you’ll tackle marketing challenges, guide SEO campaigns, and elevate client business performance. In this role, you will lead client communications, plan and manage deliverables, analyse performance data, and deliver SEO consultancy while mentoring junior team members to uphold a best-in-class service.
What you'll do:
- Directly oversee the success of up to five client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact (Client Delivery Manager) for communications, ensuring timely delivery of SEO strategies and Technical SEO projects.
- Contribute to up to seven accounts, managing resources and workloads across projects you lead.
- Lead the creation and implementation of data-driven SEO strategies aligned with client KPIs/objectives.
- Produce and deliver strategic documents, including strategy decks, roadmaps & performance reports.
- Execute and delegate SEO activities such as market research (e.g., keyword and competitor analysis), on-page optimisations, and performance reporting.
- Oversee the delivery of advanced technical SEO projects, including site audits, migration strategies, and core web vitals optimisation.
- Deliver and delegate technical SEO audits, ensuring actionable and measurable recommendations for client success.
- Continue to develop your technical SEO expertise, staying ahead of industry advancements and best practices.
- Support the upskilling of junior team members, enhancing their technical and strategic SEO knowledge and client engagement skills.

About you:
- A minimum of three years of SEO experience, with advanced knowledge of both strategic and technical SEO.
- Previous experience working in an agency environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong client-handling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for client stakeholders.
- Expertise in fundamental SEO principles, including keyword optimisation, backlinks, content optimisation, user experience, and performance analytics.
- Proficient understanding of algorithm updates and their implications, such as EEAT, Helpful Content, and core updates.
- Good technical SEO knowledge, including crawlability, indexation and page-speed optimisation.
- Good understanding of common website technologies such as CDN or CMS solutions.
- Confident in tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, GA4, and advanced reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio).
- Excellent collaboration, organisational, and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for SEO and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends.
