Product Manager – Consumer Payments and Banking

About this Role

We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Product Manager to join our dynamic team at Mono. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving the development of consumer-facing payments and banking products. This role requires expertise in identifying opportunities, defining requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that simplify how people manage money, make payments, and access banking services.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for consumer payments and banking products.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to guide product direction.
• Understand customer pain points and gather feedback to design user-centric solutions.
• Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Lead end-to-end product development, from ideation to launch and iteration.
• Write detailed product requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Prioritise features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
• Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive adoption and engagement.
• Communicate product vision, progress, and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
• Define success metrics and monitor product performance.
• Use data to make informed decisions and iterate on the product roadmap.

Requirements

You're highly likely to thrive in this role if you:

• 3-7 years of product management experience in consumer payments, banking, or fintech.
• Proven track record of delivering successful consumer-facing financial products.
• Strong understanding of payment systems, digital wallets, and/or banking services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
• Familiarity with APIs, payment gateways, and modern banking infrastructure is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing requirements.
