We’re looking to expand our pool of freelance writers for the WordPress.com blog (wordpress.com/blog). Could that writer be you (or someone you know)? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience using WordPress (bonus points if you have built a WordPress site yourself).
- Previous experience writing for B2B SaaS brands (additional B2C or non-business writing experience is a plus).
- Understanding of on-page SEO but without using that as an excuse to write like a robot. We want our content to be unique, genuinely helpful, and just a little bit weird.
- Familiarity with online culture and understanding of what normal people would want to read, see in their feeds, and open in their inboxes.
- Writing samples that demonstrate your skillset (bonus points if you can share performance metrics and explain the impact of your work).
Interested? Hit me up and send me a DM! I'd be glad to answer questions you might have or jump on a call for a virtual coffee too.
Pay: We pay the standard rate that the writer sets themselves, up to $0.50 per word.
